Insurance

Comfort & Solutions Psychiatry works with insurance through Headway, a platform that manages insurance billing on behalf of the practice. This means your insurance relationship is handled through Headway rather than directly with me, they verify your coverage, process claims, and handle billing, so I can focus on your care.

I'm in network with the following plans through Headway:

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona

  • Carelon Behavioral Health

  • Cigna

  • Curative

  • Oxford (Optum)

  • United Healthcare (Optum)

  • Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania

The best way to confirm your specific benefits is to call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about:

  • Outpatient mental health / psychiatric services

  • Whether a referral or prior authorization is required

  • Your copay or coinsurance amount for a psychiatric visit

  • Whether you've met your deductible for the year

If you still have questions, Headway can also help. They can check your coverage and give you an estimate of what you'll pay per visit before your first appointment.

How to Check Your Coverage

Your out-of-pocket cost depends entirely on your specific plan. Some patients pay a flat copay per visit, others may need to meet a deductible first, and coinsurance amounts vary widely. Headway can typically confirm these details for you before your first appointment, so there are no surprises at the time of service.

What to Expect With Copays & Deductibles

If your insurance isn't one I'm currently in-network with, cash-pay is always available as an option. Payment is due at the time of service, and a superbill is provided so you can submit it to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
